Ammonia

6.64 Gcal per tonne — proprietary synthesis technology.

Highly energy-efficient ammonia synthesis with specific consumption at 6.64 Gcal per tonne of NH₃. Capacity upgrades to 3 000 t/day on existing plants together with reconstruction of critical synthesis units. Four directions: modernising existing plants, converting surplus capacity to methanol, integrated production lines (ammonia-methanol, ammonia-hydrogen) and brand-new units built around the latest engineering.

World Hydrogen Summit 2026 — meeting GIZ and the EU–India industry

The ALVIGO team attended the World Hydrogen Summit & Exhibition at Rotterdam Ahoy in the Netherlands, joining the project inauguration alongside Their Majesties King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima. The delegation also took part in the 3rd India–Europe Business Forum on Green Hydrogen and Decarbonization, connecting with representatives of GIZ to discuss collaboration and knowledge exchange in green hydrogen and clean energy. The EU and India are deepening their industrial-decarbonization partnership — reducing N₂O and NOx emissions in fertilizer production while preserving competitiveness is becoming an industry priority.

ALVIGO at the PRISM Ammonia Oxidation roundtable by Hindustan Platinum

ALVIGO took part in the PRISM Ammonia Oxidation roundtable organised by Hindustan Platinum. CEO Nikolai Jakovlev presented our custom engineering across the full ammonia lifecycle — production, storage, conversion into nitric acid and the downstream fertilizer chain. The session covered energy-saving strategies for ammonia and HNO₃ plants and the NO₂/NOx abatement project successfully executed at RUSTAVIAZOT INDORAMA in 2025.

About

An European engineering company with 85+ years in chemistry and petrochemistry.

Engineers reviewing a 3D process model and technical drawings

ALVIGO is a holding of design-and-technology companies in Estonia and Ukraine that brings together 85+ years of experience designing new — and reconstructing existing — production lines for mineral fertilisers, organic and inorganic chemicals. We manage projects across technology licensing, engineering and R&D in the chemical, petrochemical and gas-processing industries.

Full lifecycle: technology audits of ammonia and methanol units, basic and detailed engineering, equipment supply, technical and author's supervision, commissioning, catalyst reloads, and industrial-safety expertise.

«We accept only the highest standards — and never stop where we stand.»
— Alvigo · Vision
